Welcome to the Reynolds County Sheltered Workshop
We are a non-profit group that helps to keep our developmentally challenged employees in a job. They work very hard to accomplish their goals, then take great pride in meeting that goal. Our workers make quilts, wooden furniture, quilt blocks, rugs, pump houses, dog houses, and many, many more things. We have a large show room that is stocked with some of the products our workers make. You are welcome to come in and browse any time. We are open Monday thru Thursday from 7 am to 3 pm.
We are having new and different things come into our show room on a regular basis. Here are just a few of the wood items that have passed through our show room.
What Do We Make?
New items are being made and put into our show room on a regular basis. Our Wood Shop and our Sewing Room are always busy! And our room where the ladies all embroidery on quilt blocks is always buzzing with activity.
This is one of our beautiful quilts made in our sewing room. This paticular quilt took Grand Champion this year at our County Fair. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. This is just the beginning, new quilts are being added to our show room on a regular basis.
Each year our FRC (fund raising committee) raises money to use at Christmas. The money that is raised is then used to get each of our employees a gift card. The way our FRC raises this money is to sell chances on an item.
This year the items that will be raffled off are a queen size quilt and a kitchen basket full of Rada products. These items will be displayed in our show room at the Workshop until the time of the drawing on December 10, 2014.
